At Evans Case, community service and professional leadership go hand in hand. Our firm has a long-standing tradition of supporting non-profits that make a meaningful impact across Colorado, especially those dedicated to legal access, justice, and equity.
As part of this commitment, we are proud to continue our sponsorship of the Colorado Bar Foundation, a leading organization that funds programs aimed at improving the legal system and expanding access to justice statewide. Our attorneys actively participate in events and initiatives that help strengthen the Colorado legal community. Most recently, our team was thrilled to attend and support the annual Blues on the Bayou spring fundraiser, an inspiring and festive evening benefiting the Colorado Bar Foundation.

The Blues on the Bayou event has become a beloved spring tradition in Colorado’s legal circles. Founded by Evans Case attorney Keith Lapuyade, this annual fundraiser blends live blues music, local cuisine, and community connection, all while raising funds to support the critical mission of the Colorado Bar Foundation. Evans Case has proudly co-sponsored the event for three consecutive years.
This year’s gathering brought together attorneys, judges, and supporters from across the state to enjoy an evening of entertainment, fellowship, and philanthropy. Our attorneys were honored to attend and contribute to this important cause. From sharing a meal to celebrating another successful year of support for legal services, the evening reflected everything we value at Evans Case — professionalism, camaraderie, and a deep-rooted commitment to giving back.

The spirit of service doesn’t end with spring. In June, attorney Keith Lapuyade will be hosting a crawfish boil to benefit both the Colorado Bar Foundation and Metro Volunteer Lawyers (MVL). This casual summer event will bring together colleagues and friends in support of two organizations doing critical work across the Denver metro area and beyond.
Metro Volunteer Lawyers, a program of the Denver Bar Association, provides free legal assistance to individuals who cannot afford private legal representation. Their services help bridge the justice gap and ensure that vulnerable Coloradans have access to the legal support they deserve. You can learn more about their efforts at www.denbar.org/mvl.
Proceeds from the crawfish boil will go directly to supporting MVL’s pro bono programs and the Colorado Bar Foundation’s grant initiatives. Evans Case is proud to help promote this event and encourage our fellow legal professionals to get involved, give generously, and celebrate with purpose.

At Evans Case, we believe in using our resources and platform to support causes that align with our mission as attorneys and advocates. Our support of organizations like the Colorado Bar Foundation and Metro Volunteer Lawyers reflects our values in action. These organizations help fund and provide:
The challenges facing individuals in need of legal assistance are complex and increasing. By sponsoring events, volunteering time, and contributing financially, we help ensure that all Coloradans, regardless of income, have the opportunity to assert their rights and receive qualified legal representation. We’re proud to stand alongside fellow attorneys, judges, and advocates who share this belief and work every day to make Colorado’s legal system more accessible and equitable.
Evans Case has always believed that being part of the legal profession means more than handling cases; it means stepping up as leaders in the community. That’s why our attorneys not only support causes like the Colorado Bar Foundation and MVL but also take an active role in organizing, promoting, and fundraising on their behalf.
Attorney Keith Lapuyade’s leadership in creating and continuing events like Blues on the Bayou and the annual crawfish boil is a reflection of that spirit. These gatherings don’t just raise funds; they raise awareness, build connections, and inspire others to contribute to the legal community in meaningful ways. We’re honored to be part of this ongoing effort and invite our peers to join us in supporting these vital organizations.

Whether you’re an attorney, community member, or supporter of equal justice, there are many ways to contribute. Attend an event. Volunteer your time. Make a donation. Help spread the word about the organizations working to improve lives across Colorado through the power of the law.
At Evans Case, we’ll continue doing our part, not just in the courtroom, but in the community. Because justice should be accessible to everyone. Stay tuned to our blog for updates on the June crawfish boil and other events we proudly support throughout the year.
