Biographical Information

A native South Carolinian, Tim joined Evans Case LLP as an associate in May 2014 and was named partner in January 2020. Tim earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Finance from the University of South Carolina in 2007, and his Juris Doctor from the Charleston School of Law in 2010. After finishing law school, Tim earned a Master of Laws in Taxation from the University of Denver in 2011. Tim focuses his practice on estate planning, trust and estate administration, trust and estate litigation, appeals, and guardianships and conservatorships.
 
Tim advises his estate planning clients on how to properly transfer and manage their wealth, plan effectively for incapacity and death, and avoid probate. He also represents individual and corporate fiduciaries and beneficiaries regarding all aspects of estate and trust administration.
 
As a litigator, Tim has extensive trial experience in disputes involving estate and trust administration, interpretation and validity of Wills and trusts, fiduciary duties, spousal rights at death, and contested guardianships and conservatorships. He is a tireless advocate for his clients and looks for creative ways to reach resolutions to complex estate and probate issues.
 
Tim is a member of the Rocky Mountain Estate Planning Council and the Estate Planning Council of Southeast Denver. Tim is actively involved in the Trust and Estates Section of the Colorado Bar Association and is a past Chair of the Section. Tim has presented continuing education courses on estate planning, trust and estate litigation, guardianships, and conservatorships, and representing clients with diminished capacity. Tim has also given testimony before the Colorado House of Representatives and the Colorado Supreme Court Rules of Professional Conduct Standing Committee regarding the implementation of legislation affecting trusts and estates.
 
Outside of the office, Tim serves on the Board of Directors for Easters Seals Colorado. Tim enjoys spending time with his family and enjoying all of the outdoor recreation opportunities Colorado has to offer.
