Evans Case Supports Community Charity Event for Underprivileged Families

The Evans Case Volunteer Crew were out in full force supporting Dolls for Daughters, an annual community charity event that provides free toys to underprivileged families.

Dolls for Daughters is a result of an idea conceived eight years ago out of one woman’s grief has brought joy to thousands of Denver-area families. Jessica Bachus had a stillborn daughter, Kenzi, and wanted to honor her memory by creating something special. She established Dolls for Daughters, a nonprofit that would provide young girls with dolls at Christmastime who would otherwise go without. The organization has since provided nearly 30,000 dolls, toys, toothpaste and toothbrushes, stocking stuffers, books and underwear to boys and girls alike.

On Dec. 5, Evans Case employees volunteered to support the 6th annual Dolls for Daughters community charity event. Donning Santa hats, the Evans Case Volunteer Crew was on hand to give away toys, bikes, and even help folks carry their bags out to the car. Held at the National Western Complex, more than 4,500 children, ages newborn to 18 years, and their families stood in line to receive early Christmas gifts that were donated to this great charity event. Evans Case has supported Dolls for Daughters for the past four years through its golf tournament and silent auction.

Adding the toy shop to the firm’s list of community service events was exciting for both Kris Fabricius and Amy Domnick, volunteer co-coordinators for Evans Case. Amy stated, “So many people left with smiles on their faces and we are so grateful for the opportunity to serve the community."

“This is such a wonderful and worthwhile charity event,” said Aaron Evans, managing partner. “At this time of year especially, it’s gratifying to be able to give back to the community by handing out toys to children who may not otherwise receive any.”
