Alex’s practice at Evans Case focuses on probate administration and litigation, Rule 62 proceedings, and guardianships and conservatorships. Prior to joining Evans Case in April 2019, Alex practiced business law at two well-established Denver firms with an emphasis on mergers, acquisitions, and corporate finance. Alex came to Evans Case looking for a career change and was rewarded with the opportunity to provide support in an intimate part of people’s lives and assist clients as they deal with often emotionally taxing circumstances.
Alex received his Juris Doctorate, with a certification in corporate and commercial law, from the University of Denver Sturm College of Law in 2016. He served as a Senior Staff Editor on the Denver University Law Review and graduated among the top 10% of his class in the Order of the Coif. He also sits on the Board of Directors for TACT Kids, Inc., a local non-profit organization that serves individuals in the autism community by teaching various trades and offering unique programs to support meaningful careers and personal fulfillment.
As a Colorado native, the only time Alex ever lived outside of the state was when he was attending Benedictine College in Atchison, Kansas. During his time at Benedictine, Alex acted as the Public Relations Officer for the Men’s Rugby Team, while also serving as a Student Ambassador and Director of Clubs and Organizations on the Student Government Executive Board. Alex graduated from Benedictine as class valedictorian with a degree in Economics and Finance, and delivered a valedictory address that Parade Magazine ranked within the top 10 commencement speeches that year.
Before beginning his legal career, Alex was a heat-treating technician in the oil and petrochemical fields. His wife, Brooke, is the principal of a Catholic school in Denver. Alex and Brooke spend most of their free time enjoying the great Colorado outdoors, skiing, hiking, and traveling as much as possible. Their German Shepherd-Saint Bernard mix, “Shoebox,” is currently their pride and joy.
